I just figured it all out... By getting him into reefing at a young age you never again have to give a single thought to what he gets for X-mass and birthdays. You can even just yell at Alexa and make her do it! So simple.

Apex I like but wet hands and touch screens don’t play nice. It seems you can wipe your hands for 5 minutes and still be locked out of finger I’d.

I can see having Alexa integrated would be nice to turn pumps on and of when hands are wet.

That said is there anything voice activated that does screw up or is it me

Please keep in mind im not trying to sell you on anything but thats hard for someone else to really say as it depends on what you want out of it.

For a Biocube I think an old Classic Lite or Jr. covers everything you might want and can be found used at a not so wallet killing price. It was tricky finding space for the probes along with the dosing tubes etc. in the back. The Jr gives you 4 controlled plugs and the Lite gives you 8. Neither version has VDM ports for direct control of pumps or lights but both would monitor Temp/PH.

In the newer version the Apex EL would be the comp to those two I just spoke of and Comes with 8 contolable plugs.

As for add on modules it really depends. If you want leak detection then thats a module. If you have ecotech pumps then thats another module. If you want Lunar cycles that mimic nature thats another. On and on it goes.

So long story long, it really depends in what you want out of the unit.
