IMHO the EL makes little sense to me as it really isn't upgradable to the 2016 without incurring costs that would put it past it. Salinity probe is one thing I would want and for adding just that, it's like around $215 just for the module and probe.
If it were me, I'd just bite the bullet and get the full system, used would be even better.

So many pedestrians so little time
Lost a yellow watchman goby for two months only to find it in the back left corner under a rock.
Lost a royal Gramma for two weeks only to catch a glimpse from time to time.
They are both out and about. Took them some time to settle in
Surprise coming very soon.

Yes I am as well not sure what to do w the 240. Most say leave it alone but, I can’t do two tanks just because of time constraints.
You realize I have a snorkel and wet suit just for my 240. I’m going all out on the 425. Full scuba gear and twin tanks. I had tons of room in my 240 can you imagine a nice bath in a 425 lol. And you would never worry about the water spilling over, there are two over flows. I could have one amazing bathtub with power jets and massage jets all in one. Probably cheaper than a real tub like that and this is bigger

What mr. bubble has to be out, naw I will use the whole bottle. But can you imagine how many bubbles the protien skimmer would make. Gosh imagine a bathtub that cleans the water as you take a bath. Of course I’d be scared to see what the skimmer pulls out lol but wouldn’t have to drain the water every time. Though heating it could be a tad expensive lol. Of course sadly nothing would be alive in this (well hopefully I would be but still fun).
