I think also light intensity/spectrum probably plays a role in this. My tank has very high PAR levels and that may have contributed to the algae's rapid demise. The shady spots definitely took longer to die.

Did you get a chance to post a pic of your tank? It may be that you have more hair algae mixed in with your Bryopsis and it's going to take a little longer for it to die off. That seems to be what's happening with most tanks.

@CoralNerd Yeah I found some of your pics and I'm not sure that you have that much gha mixed in with the Bryopsis but it does look like the areas might not be in highly lit areas(frags on sand). Do you have any updated pics?

I'm in a similar boat as you...since the original dose I added 1 200mg additional doses two times and today I added an additional two 200mg..all above the original 8 pills for 80 g. I think my skimmer might of taken some meds out so I've took the cup of it.

Did you skim any? What dose did you use?
I dosed the full 20mg per gallon, 10 caps for my 100gal water volume system. I havent turned my skimmer off at all during this treatment, I dose nopox, feed heavy and have a fairly heavy bioload of fish so didnt really want to have it off for any amount of time if it could be helped. I've noticed my po4 go up to .5 from .3 over the last 9 days and have a cyano outbreak in the sand that strangely enough seems to by dying off now and I havent done anything different. Carbon has been off during treatment also.

Stumbled across this thread and found it a very interesting read indeed, 5 coffees later lol, I am from across the pond and I have an outbreak of the stuff and can find nowhere that sells the flucanozole over here so ordered from the US from a link that someone put up. I've already chucked out one lot of rock a while back, soaked frag plugs in hydrogen peroxide but it still seems to hang in there and creep back so hoping that this may do the trick. Think it's going to be a couple of weeks until it arrives but am looking forward to ridding the stuff for good.

I got 1500 mg in the UK. But had to shop around. EBay, Amazon and 2 other online pharmaceutical sellers. Just Google fluconazole it us sold. Max at all sellers was 3 x 150mg, prob was it cost more in P+P.

So here's my day 8 pic. Did you guys still have these stalks left? Did they go away? Everything else melted away quick but not this

I still had a few stalks left for several days after the lighter less dense stuff melted away but they will die off as well.

@NCreefguy and @stevo01

At what point did you see a change? I'm day 4 of the 200mg per 10gallon of the tablets (I have around 30-35gallons twv so I dosed for 40 gallons). Nothing has changed. After looking at the inactives between them I wonder if it's something there that's doing it.

Just food for your thoughts.

Thanks again for this thread!

I didn't use tablets or one of the two mentioned but I believe I noticed my bryopsis turning a lighter color on day 2.

I saw the first signs of change to the Bryopsis within the first 2 days. Probably the biggest changes were between days 4-6. GHA is going to take a little longer to notice a change in it.

I have bryopsis for sure but haven't seen a change at all.

I may re-dose and order capsule in the next few days.

Crappy picture sorry.

I'm not sure why some are seeing instant results versus others taking 8 to 10 days before theirs really kicks in. Different strains....Different lighting....Different batches of the meds.....Tablets versus Capsules. So far the best(or quickest over all) results have come from capsules and highly lit areas of the tanks. @twilliard has his work cut out on researching all of this.
