Today is day 1.... I've been fighting GHA for over a year. I've taken this tank apart twice to treat with peroxide and have used water changes, gfo, uv, etc. it's time to launch the nukes. Coincidentally the situation has improved over the last 2 weeks but I want to eradicate this stuff without a doubt. It used to be way worse and on every rock and coral. Here we go!

Yeah, no idea. I wonder if maybe because he was eating the algae that had already taken up the fluconozole, he was a victim by proxy?
I think it's dropsy. I have had a orange shoulder tang and a foxface die the same way in the past. If that is the case then fluconazole should have helped it unless it didn't get to it fast enough. How long have you owned the Foxface?

Just barely two weeks... very sad. All the rest of my fish are captive bred, and this is the first one that isn't. Lesson learned.

Yes, very sad. I felt the same when I lost mine also. I only had mine about 2 weeks as well. I really believe it is dropsy. Google it and see if that's what it looks like.

World's worst luck, I clearly spoke too soon about keeping it together. This is the second one spot fox face I've killed in two years. I feel terrible, and I'm clearly a terrible person for putting it through whatever I put it through. He seemed fine until I found him dead when I got home from work tonight. All the other fish in the tank are completely fine. Could this be because of the fluconazole? All parameters are still perfect, unchanged.

I feel awful.

Sorry about your foxface. I'm only 5 days in but mine is doing well

Do i need to turn off my UV channels on my AI Hydras?

I wouldn't....I don't think that they will degrade the meds enough to hinder the treatment. I did during my initial treatment but that was only due to the first couple of people had done this. Since then most have left their lighting alone and still had good results.

Thanks... I googled, and it does look like it, but I'm in health care - edema, aceities is just a symptom of something else - so without a professional autopsy, we'll never know.

This stuff worked wonders on my gha. It takes a week to really start seeing it. My suggestion is dose more than the recommended amount: turn off skimmer uv and kick up the amount of light to shaded areas and run your lights longer. Increasing clean up crew is also a huge help.

So iv just finished treating my 125 gallon. I dosed 4000mg in it to rid myself of horrible gha. After the treatment I would say my gha is 85% gone, the places it's left are all in low light areas so adding some lights to shaded areas may be a good idea for really bad tanks. Almost everything in the tank seemed unaffected by the medication, I did lose my sea hare on day 14 but am not sure if it was related or not. He had been eating the dying algae at a much faster rate than I had ever seen before, seemed like it never even slept during the last week so maybe he overdosed on it or maybe he was older than I thought and it was gonna happen either way. I did also lose a acan during treatment but again I can't say it was due to the fluco because all other coral seems unaffected. What I can say though is this product works and works very well. Iv been struggling with this gha for months and it really seemed I was going to lose the fight. Definitely gonna be buying some more as a back up and will be shouting this from the roof tops.
