I have done some searching. But im looking for a more specific answer.

I have my rose or rainbow bubble tips in my 29 gal fuge. With an ai prime over them.

I got one from a friend who had them under t5s. After several weeks it moved then split.

They look happy and healthy but they have stopped bubbling.

I guess still nobody knows why they do or do not bubble? I am wondering those of you that have them under leds what is your spectrum or par?

I decided to move my light over and angle it.

It didnt take long for then to start to bubble.

Must be due to light...

I've never had success with led and nems. How long has your tank been running?

You really should wait a year before adding nems. Try putting them on Qt with cipro or fish mox for a week. Good luck.

I have a small one that finally got comfortable and is bubbling nicely under IT2080. I have a lot of light on it and I feed the tank heavy so it eats often. I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

No one really knows how to get them to bubble but from my experience they bubble when they are stressed or annoyed, could be from any changes such as the change in light.

I have had success in different spectrums using radions, BTA's will let you know if they are not getting enough light etc by stretching or moving around. Right now using a similar setting that imitates t5 lighting and they are doing really well.

I had a BTA in my old tank (90 gallon with twin 175W metal halides), and it never did bubble. It was stressed, lived for years, and split into about six anemones over the time I had it. I never did figure out why it didn't bubble.

My new BTA has been bubbling under three Kessil A360s since day one. The only time he didn't bubble is when the Clarkii was being a little too loving with him :)

Stress may cause bubbling, but its definitely not the only reason.

I do feed them every week or two, and they do shorten and plump when i give them a piece of shrimp.

I dont know anything about kessils but what are your settings like?

I'm running my Kessils manually each day right now. I start out completely blue and over the course of a couple hours, I increase the white intensity until I get a color temperature around 12000K. The lights operate at full intensity during the entire cycle, with the whiter period being around 4 hours. Before bed, I slowly ramp the color down to all blue.

I have 3 BTA's they never bubble, they are fed daily and have never split in the 2 years i've had them. I personally think that its a flow issue but cant prove it.
either way nice looking nems

FWIW my guy has never slit either and I have had him for about 1.5yrs

im confused about why we should wait so long for nems??? it was one of the first things I put in my tank and havnt had any issues. one even split. all I had to do was make sure I had good lighting and an ato for salinity stability. I think they advise u to wait until u learn to maintain water... ime time was not the issue
