im confused about why we should wait so long for nems??? it was one of the first things I put in my tank and havnt had any issues. one even split. all I had to do was make sure I had good lighting and an ato for salinity stability. I think they advise u to wait until u learn to maintain water... ime time was not the issue
I agree. I'm in the same boat as you. I think experienced reefkeepers can accelerate that schedule.

What kind of clowns are those? Premium picasso?.

Here are mine. Im hoping the one gets more black.

Okay since you all think I'm "crazy" here is my thinking:
1. I agree if you are "experienced" you can add nems early. But based on the nature of the original question and having been up 6 months, logic would dictate that this is not an experienced reef keeper- I could be wrong.

2. I've been keeping nems a long time- had a nem garden in the past. BTAs could deflate for a number of reasons- yes even stress. But stress can also be caused by an infection. I once had the same issue and waited it out only to have it die overnight an pollute my tank. Since then with BTA I've played it safe. If I see something like this I put in QT treatment. If no cloudy or polluted water within 3 days then back in my DT. No harm no foul. But if water is dirty then I've made the right move.

Hey- maybe I'm crazy. But those pics (albeit hard to really tell) don't show a BTA that is thriving. Just my opinion which is why we have this forum.

Yes sir, ORA Premiums they're a little over 3 years old... no spawning but they're fantastic fish.
your fish are gorgeous!!! my had dark coloring even as babies but they all darken with age

I had my tank for two months and got a RBTA it has split 4 times in the past 3 years and has never ever showed any signs of stress. A year and a piece ago I moved them from T5s to kessil a360we with no problems. I don't even feed them in fear they'll get too big or produce more clones than I can give away lol. They are nice and bubbly for me. maintaining stable reef parameters and good lighting seems to be all you need to worry about with them.

Those look really nice. What kind of flow are the in?

Anenomes can def do good under LEDS. I had a gorgeous bubbly and happy RBTA for well over a year. Never moved or anything. Might get another in the future

Bubbling again. Seems in my case they wanted more direct light

My tank has been up for less than 6 months, so the 1 year rule is an old school way of thinking. What matters is that your tank parameters stay stable. Don't concentrate so much on the time as to making sure your tank just stays stable, all that can be achieved with regular maintenance once the tank is cycled. I've never waited in any of my tanks for the 1 year mark to add anemones.

As for making bubble tips bubble, I can't prove this yet, but there is a connection in my tank with LED lights and white lighting from them making them bubble. I noticed the more intense my white lighting is and less blue, the more bubbles, reversing that, I get long tentacles. I'm in the blue phase, and in a few weeks will be switching back to my original 60%B/80%W. Right now I'm currently 90%B/60%W. Reefbreeder LEDs.

Try feeding them. If they're feed they typically won't reach for the light. JME with mine

The pics of the nems show its healthy. That is why I would leave them alone. Some bubble up and some dont. I don't think your crazy just throwing out bad advice on the cipro. I also don't believe in waiting a year. Just make sure parameters are good and stable.

In all honesty even people who I believe to be reputable such as melev does not know for sure why some bubble and some dont. Lack of bubbling is not a sign of poor health.
