55 gallon tank fluval asuasky lighting and 5 stage top fin filter with a small fan in the right center of the aquarium

Nitrates are high. Also in the future api test aren't that accurate. You will need a nitrate, ph04,calcium, alk and mag test kits. Salifert is a good start.

I was looking at that kit when the guy that works at the pet store told me to buy the master and actually the test strips were a lot cheaper of an option

Ammonia and nitrite was important when you were cycling but it sounds like you are past that point. So look into the other kits and do some water changes

i'll do a 50% water change first thing in the morning is there any chemicals i should put into the water after the water change that you would recommend right now the only thing i'm using is water conditioner and Thanks for all the advice it's been so helpful i'm not sure how that the entire reef and all the fish have survived with me not having the right equipment to maintain them also i have a sand bed in mine what's the best way to get the left over food off the bottom without pulling out all the sand. sorry for the 50 questions again and Thank you so much for all the help.
