Byropsis keeps coming back help

I have two spots in my tank where I had patches of it, I really did not want to use Flux because previously I used Vibrant for GHA, it worked but I lost the ability to grow algae in my ATS for several months after dosing and don't want to go that route again.
I took two 3x3 inch frag tiles and covered the spots to deprive it of light, I left the tiles there for months and the algae died. I'm not sure if it eradicated altogether, but those two spots have been free for over a month.

Find something that eats it. That will not be easy. My Lawnmower ate all of mine. I have read that Sacoglossan sea slugs of the genus Elysia will feed on it. Finding them will not be easy either.

Can you take the rock out and put it in boiling water? That’ll do it. Boil it for a good 30 to 60 minutes. Anything on that rock will be dead. Including your bryopsis.

I had this prickly red algae on one of my rocks. Bad previous experience with that stuff. So I just saw it on one of my rocks and I boiled it and now it’s a just starting to purple up again. I definitely would not suggest boiling that liferock stuff. The paint would probably come off.

I've been dealing with this for a while also. Not sure if it's Byropsis or GHA but i picked up a Lawnmower blenny and an emerald crab and they've got rid of about 70% of it. I also pull as much out as i can manually.
I'm trying not to use chemicals as well

I had this little tuft of pretty red algae growing on my rock wall on my last tank. I thought it was pretty. And then something happened and it started growing uncontrollably and I found that there was no way to remove it. I couldn’t scrape it off, I couldn’t scrub it off. I couldn’t pull it off. It was fused to the rock. Soon, it had spread to my entire tank. I had to tear the whole thing down and I was so disgusted, I left the hobby.

I would put that rock in boiling water, if it’s not too big.

Never scrub it, it'll tick it off and grow faster. People say to pick it (from the root) but quite honestly I don't find this reasonable.

I currently have the same issue...I overdosed (a bit) using Flux Rx...this is the third attempt. I've left the med in for about 4 weeks now, and instead of running carbon to remove the medication I am just starting my usual water change routine. After about a month of this I am going to do a monthly low dose. After a few months I may run some carbon (as I used to always run carbon) and see if it grows back.

It's a weed. Just gotta keep trucking I think.

Just a little reminder. If you dose your tank to kill algae, and it’s successful, remember to clean your sand bed. Because the dead algae is probably in there rotting.

A 10 min dip in peroxide (tank water plus enough to bubble) will do it.
