Cade Chaos Grimoire

What size tank are you putting in the new house?
Looking at either 48 or 60 inch by approx 24 both other directions.

So ranging from like.... 125-180 gallons I guess. Depending on exactly which dimensions we land on. We measured things out in the house at one point and I can't remember which option we decided fit the space better... BUT - peninsula.

Nice choice, I love peninsula tanks.
I'm hoping we decided the bigger dimensions were a better fit but I'm not certain.

The plan is to build the bar meeting from the side. So when you want in and hit the end of the entryway wall it'll be side of peninsula tank and then bar off the end. Other side of room will be living room.

I'm not good at explaining it.... I'll get into MS paint later :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Top down on my begonia mini greenhouse and my peperomia shelf.

Now I remember why I stopped using Aquarium Depot
I second that.
Never again!
See for yourself.
All Amphipods dead 3 out of 5 shipments.
No air for oxygen in bags.

That's the only photo I still have of that order. Their customer support is nonexistent. They completely shorted me something. Never again.

I did call them about my order. But I only got a response after a slammed them on the survey they sent out. And that was 2 weeks after the survey. Nope not even for free stuff.

Called, emailed, used their support thing through the website, used their specific process to file loss... didn't get a response until I went through paypal to message them. Got a response next day saying I'd receive tracking for the doa that afternoon - never heard another word or received tracking. Waited another week, responded to that email, went through all the sources again, finally escalated to paypal and got a snarky message from AD back in all caps with my refund.

OK yeah you experience sucks way more. :) I think the only way they stay in business is all the gift cards they give out.

Probably. Ridiculous that so many people have such similar garbage experiences with them.

In planning mode....

What's left on the house?

Paint shutters, front door, garage door.
Landscaping dude.
Install on the two appliances that are there, delivery and install on the 2 that are missing. We already talked to the company we ordered them from, they're in stock - just waiting on the builder to call for them.
Electric company needs to come out and move the meter. They included it in our last bill, so should happen soon.

Then a number of final inspections.

Then punch out.

WHICH MEANS:
I can actually seriously start thinking about my peninsula build.

Whether I go another CADE or go GC I'm going to need a different ato solution than the simplicity of this in back situation I have going right now. Sad. CADE doesn't do the behind display ato's for the peninsulas

So, those of you who have smarts - I know from previous experience that I'm not a fan of the little motor machines with beepy sensors. I definitely prefer gravity fed ato systems. We were thinking about building a cabinet behind the wall side of the peninsula for supply storage anyway, I could put something in there and gravity it yes?? How/What?

Here's a very not to any kind of reasonable scale idea of the layout quickly sketched in ms paint to give the idea of what we're going for. The tank being the unlabeled area because I'm a grade a idiot.

Gravity and I don't get along.

Gravity and I don't get along.
Beeps and I don't get along :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: If they'd just work without the heckin noise I'd be fine with them - sensory overload I guess.

Today we saw marine beta. Beautiful adult. And the smallest small baby. Smaller than pinky nail
amazing, I'd love to see that baby
