Cade Chaos Grimoire

On grandma duty again, I'm sitting at the table drinking my coffee so I don't think she saw me when she peeked her head out to bark orders at someone.

Off to work soon, unfortunately Matt will get the brunt of her this week since he works from home - we already got some snarky commentary last night. I guess originally her son was supposed to come out here with his wife the entire time Matt's parents are gone but they found out we're still living here and backed out. Then Matt's parent's brought up that we have a wedding and stuff going on part of the week and won't be around the whole time - so now he's coming but only Wed-Fri (supposedly, we'll see).

Kind of annoying because the deal Matt's mom made with her siblings was that she WOULDN'T be chained to her and that if she wanted to take a vacation or trip, one of them would step up and come stay here during that timeframe. The woman is so unbearable they have yet to come out a single time - they've backed out even though they had months notice. I feel bad for his parents. 2 days before they left she tried to guilt her into staying, to the point that she finally threatened to hire a caretaker if she's going to be like this. She backed off then, for now. Personally, we can't wait for the house to be done so that she CAN hire a caretaker and let them use that room we're currently living in. She got some names of both live-in and daytime people already.

Taking care of someone who is like that is hard.

It's nice you had somewhere to go while you were waiting for your house to be done, but man, that's gotta be difficult!

Plus the burden of care on only one sibling (Matt's parents) is not fair when there seems to have been a verbal agreement prior. I've been lucky and both my inlaws that did need help were very gracious and kind and easy so helping them was natural. But I've also known of others that were hostile and mean and made life hard on the care takers.

Honestly my own situation has me worried, I'm estranged from both my parents, and an only child, so I'm not sure when or if they'll ever ask me to help...

Can't wait for your house though, it looks so nice, love all the things you've chosen so far. Must feel amazing thinking about moving in and relaxing after all that wait!

His mom is one of 8 kids, somehow she's the only one willing to take in grandma. But, she's doing admirably.

Speaking of, she came out to tell us goodnight, and I told her since I'll be up before Matt tomorrow I'll bring her paper in when it gets here for her instead of waiting for him to get up. She was very excited about that.

He didn't tell me this, but apparently since his parents left yesterday she's told him 4x not to forget about the paper tomorrow :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

General tank updates:

Rocks are slowly clearing up of their aiptasia infestation. File and MMB seem to be doing a decent job. I barely catch glimpses of the MMB - assuming she's mostly coming out at night.

Been using the AF stuff I won, tank seems to be appreciating it (gorgs, mushrooms are pretty much all I've got in here, but color is getting happier again).

Not much else to report - as much as I want to buy more fish, corals, etc... hopefully we'll be moved in Dec so I don't want more life to disrupt.

What was the AF stuff that's working? I like my one big gorg and I definitely want to get more. It hasn't died yet, and if like to keep it that way.

Good question. I won that pack of a bunch of their stuff, not sure which one is doing the magic or if it's a combo of them.

Hi all, sorry - this week has been chaos. Only a 4 day work week for me but the days off have been packed.

Wednesday day off was spent 2 hours of planning/drawing then nearly 5 hours of tattooing straight - I passed out as soon as I got home.

Yesterday I was off but it was wedding day for a close friend of ours so we were busy all day with that & the night before for rehearsal dinner after I got off work.

Tomorrow off and hopefully a chance to relax but who knows  we have no plans but Matt's parents get home tomorrow so who knows what kind of disruption there will be.

I need a nap.
