I started a 32 Biocube back in beginning of November, which I quickly became addicted to...within a week I upgraded the light canopy to Steve’s LED’s, added an ATO/AWC, Protein Skimmer, all kinds of things. Apparently, its never enough in this hobby...I wanted a bigger tank. Turns out I have to relocate for a new job about an hour away - so much to my dismay, I was shocked at how much LFS charges to move a tank. Forget that, not happening...almost $800.
Which takes me to today-just placed an order for the
Cadlights Versa 42G, which was a ridiculous price on
Amazon...especially since they are upgrading it to the Versa II which also includes a glass ATO tank that fits next to the sump, 300W heater, Sock holder, etc...at no extra charge and 50% off what Cadlights has it for on their website. Ill be selling my Biocube setup shortly after we move in Feb 1. How do you like the setup, a year and a half in?
I would like to ask you how you liked the 2 AI Prime’s (were they the HD?), as this is what I was considering, but I am back and forth between 2 AI Prime HD or 1 Hydra 26 HD...you never mentioned why you changed to the new light. My wife already wants to kill me for ordering a new setup, so might as well ride the wave and get what I need now while she’s still mad lol.
I have an Alvepora and Frogspawn that are both really doing well under Steves LED’s, but they’re not full spectrum - so I am imagining great growth under an AI or two, all being transferred to the new Versa setup. Thoughts?
Love your setup, btw...the sticks are awesome.
