Can someone reccomend me an rodi system

They sell spectrapure products in canada.

I would highly recommend this product.....

It will knock the socks off any brs system right out of the box.

Marine Depot Klearwater or Spectrapure

Ok my tds metre says my well water is 400ppm. So any changes in reccomendations? How many stages?

Nope. But you likely have high co2.
I would airate your RO water in a brute can for 24h before pumping through your resin.

I have a mj1200 with a 1/2" to 1/4" push to connect fitting that pumps the RO through my resin after airation.

Completely doable with a simple 5 stage.
Spectrapure includes the .5 micron carbon block with the standard system.

I don't think there is much difference besides number stages and accessories. When I moved into my house 15 years ago there was one under my sink with a 2 or 3 gallon reservoir and a spout hooked to sink. I used that for years until a plumber took it upon himself to disconnect it because he said it was hooked up wrong lol. RO is RO, RODI is RODI.

I got a 6 stage BRS with drinking water add on its great have had no issues thus far.... and it saved me from carrying 40 pack of water into the house every week.

Ok so stick with the 5 stage? The one helper pointed me to reef supplies Canada and what to buy I will get it done all I want to do is take a feed off my main incoming well header and into the rodi. I know nothing about this stuff abs I really appreciate everyone’s input

I have no idea about them. I just want one I can put in the basement and have go to a bucket no special under the sink style. Simple simple. My tanks are small so I don’t need 100s of gallons. I see brs ships to Canada. Maybe something from them?
Thanks everyone. I’m thinking my well water is causing me problems. I just ordered a tds gauge to see what I’m dealing with.
Check out the Aquamaxx Puratek Rodi 4 stage, booster pump, digital TDS, pressure gauge, low waste water. Marine Depot carries it $299. Just reviewed this week on R2R. Good reviews.

Spectrapure, Marine depot Klearwater or Typhoon units

Nice ro/di unit. From experience I highly recommend a brute trash can or other container with an auto shut off float valve installed. As recommended you may need to degass the co2 out of the ro water before sending it through the di resin. Enjoy your new gear.

oh and the same aquatec 8800 pump kit was $40 cheaper from amazon than BRS (and free shipping)

you really need to get a CO2 test on your well water unless you want to spend $$$ replacing the DI filter. If you do have high CO2 you will need to aerate the water before putting it through the DI filter. You could run it into a large tank , aerate it then run it through the RODI system or take the water from the RO before it goes to the DI filter and aerate it before sending it through the DI filter. You really need to gas off the excess CO2. If your well water has low CO2 you are good to go and have no need to aerate.

I'm on well water and have a couple of questions:
(1) How would I know if my well water has high CO2? what test kit do I need to buy?
(2) How would I aerate the water before putting it through the DI filter? Having a hard time picturing exactly how I would need to setup my system?

do you have a picture or instructions how how I degas the CO2 out of the water before sending it through the DI resin? Any help detailing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Spectrapure IMO is the best quality for the money too.
I think the maxcap standard comes with .5micron carbon already and the dual resin with the silicabuster is amazing.

But well water with high co2 will destroy the resins quick, less than 100 gallons and my final DI cart started showing 1ppm. Best to airate your RO water for 24 hours then pump it through your di carts.

Later on you can also swap the RO membrane for their spectraselect plus which is something like 99%+ rejection and maxcap super cartridges so no need to buy the mamajamma system unless you really want to.
A couple questoins if you dont mind:
(1) I'm on a well system....is there a test I can do to determine if I have high co2?
(2) how do I setup my RODI system to aerate the RO water for 24 hours before pumping into the DI cartridge? I can't picture this in my head on how to set this up?

Yes spectrapure has a c02 test kit.

All you would need is a brute trash can or similar container (how ever much water you'd like to make in a 24 -48hr period)
A maxi jet 1200 pump
Airstone with pump
Home made adapter, 1/2" threaded coupler with a 1/2" thread x 1/2" push to connect on one side and a 1/2" thread x 1/4" push to connect on the other to connect RO tubing to the pump reliably.

RO discharges into brute can until full.
Airate and mix overnight or longer.
Connect adapter to maxi jet pump and connect the output to the inlet of your DI canisters.

Cheap home made degassing system :)
