Chasing my tail...

I had the same problem with some fish years ago, I just stopped with my Vodka dosing schedule and all went back to normal.
Now I'm drinking the Vodka and watch my fish while doing it, I don't have a tail to chase so all is good ;)

It's funny. He only just started doing this about a week or so ago. Not dosing anything because he's in QT and all the meds have been finished. Maybe he's just a weirdo lol

Maybe it would work opposite in your way by giving him a bit of Vodka to calm him.

hope the angel fish is doing better:)

Actually he's about the same. I dont think there is anything physically wrong with him... just mentally. lol This video was from today. :)

Circling - As the male approaches a female station , he excellerates his swimming tempo to an impulsive circling around the female, as if spinning on a string. His body is curved and there is a full fan-like erection of unpaired fins, maxirnallv increasing the concave lateral body surface presented to the female. Later in courtship the female may also participate and both may engage in head-to-tail circling.

Maybe it is just practice courtship behavior?

Huh. Never thought about that. There are no other angels in the tank with him... @evolved @eatbreakfast would an angel display mating behavior without a female present? Like he's becoming sexually mature?

Is it possibly seeing its reflection?

I suppose. it's just glass all around them and that's only a small plastic bowl of sand for the wrasse to sleep in. Although, there isn't really a light over the tank to cause much reflection so I'm not sure.
More investigating is needed. --- pulls out magnifying glass and weird holmes hat

Maybe he was born a little retarded, or the copper could have harmed him more than it should have. Some fish are more sensitive I read. Maybe his system couldn't handle it as well.

OK. here's another one. You can clearly see his reflection under him. Now he's kinda going backward with his spins. Maybe he's practicing for the fishy x games. Angels are more sensitive to copper, though he never stopped eating and wasn't acting stressed during treatment.
He does stop and kinda get his wits about him, so it's not constant spinning. He's still eating, though not as much as before the spins started.

I've only seen tangs do this, more specific, Powder Browns. At the store we call it tang disease. When we see one doing this, we know its only got 2-3 days left  Mostly happens to fish from one specific vendor we use.......

Would be interested to see if this continues outside qt

He's not going back in my DT. I was going to take him back to the LFS. He's a coral picker

huh. I wonder if it was the same vendor. Care to share which one? I can find out where this one came from. It might be a clue! I say Watson a clue!
