Chloroquine Phosphate + General Cure

No, I had dosed the Fenbenzadole prior to taking the fish to the vet. He felt that the 3 days I had treated was adequate and wasn’t overly concerned about internal parasites based on my prior treatments.

I just based the dosage off the Thomas Labs (brand I got on Amazon) instructions.

Thank you so much for the pictures ! How did you figure out the depth to go into without rupturing the stomach ?
I just stuck it in as far as it would go before i felt resistance...the tube is super super soft and i figure it wouldn't hurt him unless i really pushed it. The scary part is sedating it and hoping it wakes up.

My tube has cm marks and i think i went to 6 cm or so.

Took my fish to the vet in Long Beach. Did x-ray and found the swim bladder to look deflated but not totally. Fed the fish using a tube, gave it an antibiotic injection and steroid injection. Took home about 2 weeks of antibiotic injections. Said it’s probably a swim bladder infection, possibly related to decompression. Otherwise fish looks healthy.
Sorry to hear about your troubles with your specimen. When you refer to Long Beach, are you referring to Long Beach, CA? If so, could you PM me the vets name? It would be good to know. Thank you

So, my bandit is still alive and eating when I turn the pumps off and target feed it, but no positive changes on the buoyancy issues. Pretty doubtful that this fish will swim normally again. Really wondering at this point if the issue was collection related (decompressing too fast or pinning) or some other type of parasite or infection that resulted in the swim bladder issue. Honestly, I am astonished that my fish is still alive.
