No. I've been doing changes here and there and trying to clean it off with siphoning it off...my cuc comes Saturday, and the fish are going in qt

Ugly tank syndrome. If your parameters are good just keep up with your weekly water changes and siphon out what you can and let your tank be. Just my opinion.
One mistake I made in this hobby is going too dang fast. Time and patience. I found myself trying to fix things more than just enjoying it.

And snails! Hang in there bud. do a 5g water change and siphon and hope them snails are hungry.

I have ceriths, nerite, a fighting conch, nassarius, amd turbo snails coming in along with scarlet hermits, blue leg hermits, amd when the wrasse gets done qting it will have plenty of sand stirrers I think. I only have sand on one side of the tank...amd was added after set up due to deciding to buy the wrasse.

Started up a brine shrimp hatchery...added the eggs today....now just have to wait....it's in anticipation for the wrasse I'm getting in.

Well, fish came in amd let me tell you it was one interesting time to get them. I have a divided leopard wrasse and a royal gramma. My closet fed ex place is an hour and a half away so went to get the fish. On way back about an hour from home, my idler pulley ceased up and stripped the belt. So there was a hold up...got them home, decided that they have been in the water too much...decided to just introduce them to qt...it was a last ditch effort to ensure the fish were in good water....they were at shock at first but are swimming around. I put a small Tupperware container in with sand for the wrasse....she was swimming sporadically in the bag off the bat and continued to do so....now just a waiting game...I hope they make it...

I've heard Leppard wrasse can be tricky for eating wise...which is why I started a hatchery last night for brine shrimp...they should hatch tomorrow...I'm going to try to wean her on to frozen....I how she takes to it well....any suggestions?

Rome wasn't built in a day. Let your tank mature and settle in before you start nuking it with every snake oil on the market. No shortcuts in this hobby.

I have stopped dosing everything except aquaforest pro bio s amd the necessities like alk amd calcium.
you wont need alk cal that in the qt.
get some good food ready, turn the lights down. reread the how to QT.
