I have experienced those horror stories:cry:
man I'm so jealous I pretty much have nems all over my tank as well and none of my clowns even try to host them:cry:. I keep hoping for a miracle.
Sorry to hear that. I have not lost a rbta to a powerhead but I did lose a long tentacle. I was told they don't move around as much as the rbtas but that's not true. I have a purple lta and green and those move around the most.
That is frustrating. I have read online about different tricks you can try to get them to host. I read somewhere just showing a picture of a clownfish hosting an anemone gets them to host. That sounded kinda silly to me but clownfish do tend to be copycats.
Hmmm maybe I'll try the picture thing:bigsmile: thx KIm. I'll let you know if I'm successful

awesome! always nice to read the updates. the Plats will be the aggressors for sure IME. kinda interested to see how everyone will get along in a few months since you have both perc and false percs together. I hope they all stay nice to each other.![]()
awesome about the older Perc.Yes I'm watching them closely but I was told there is a good chance they will do fine with a lot of space and a lot of anemones. Fortunately clownfish are pretty easy to catch if there's any major problems. When I picked up these , the breeder also gave me this 10 year old male false perc for free who lost it's mate and I added him with a true percula that I had in a 29 biocube that had also lost his mate about a year ago and they paired off and are getting along fine.

Very jealous of this setup, such an awesome tank you have going on.

 right? that's what I said:wink: I'm trying to accomplish the same thing in my tank but no luck with the clowns hosting the nems. Keeping the faith though lol:xd:. Kim ahts off to you again:nerd:
Thanks! The money I made selling off all the colored sticks went towards paying for the anemones and clownfish! This tank has really reignited my passion for the hobby!
Thanks Nico! Any luck with getting your clownfish to host your nems?
haha:cry: not at all they're all hanging around my hammer colony on top
Oh sorry man. I was hoping the picture thing would work. Maybe if you take out the hammer colony they will have no choice but to host the anemones.
I can't though:squigglemouth: its a beautiful colony and I have 2 of them:neutral:
Awesome! One day I will do this myself!

Ahhh I see. I forget that other people aren't crazy like me and have another tank they can temporarily move things too. Sounds like a nice colony.
Thanks! There can't be too many clownfish anemone tanks in the world for me!![]()
No wonder your clowns aren't hosting your nems, they have a nice hammer colony to host.
