completely messed up my profilux 4e wifi

ive completely messed things up on my profilux 4e, I had it connected then I didn't then certain things connected certain things didn't, Is there a way to completely reset the p4e so its as if ive just turned it on for the first time and I can search for it again on my phone and go through the whole wifi setting up again?

Hmm, not certain of that, likely yes but never done that. However, you can plug in USB cable and then with PC and GCC software you can reconfigure it.

I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago. Check out my thread. Resetting to factory settings worked for me.

Thanks guys ill look into it.
Not too impressed so far with the ease of set up and use but hopefully once connected properly and I can see what it can do I might be more impressed

@Vinny@GHLUSA is a great resource and should be able to give some useful input. I'd hold off on doing anything until you hear from Vinny.

I completely agree with you. Definitely not user friendly and the resources are few and far between. I’ve gotten a lot of help from @Vinny@GHLUSA and @Ditto. If it weren’t for them, I would have thrown the dang thing off my balcony. It is a beautiful made product and once you get into it, it gets easier. I’m two weeks in and feel WAY better about it now than I did then.

Ok ive reset everything, followed the connection video to the letter, got wifi hotspot and network and cloud all set up.
Ive followed to the letter set up using gcc, got ip address and set it up, even pinged it like it said but when I go to connect gcc via wifi it comes up with 'could not connect. Do you want to check the settings now?'
I checked the settings and they are all correct so why wont gcc connect wirelessly?

Wow, coincidence, Karma, luck, call it what you like, but ive just had to restart laptop for something and it now connects wirelessly through gcc, don't know if if the gcc needed a reboot or something on the laptop needed a reboot but whatever it is it might be worth just putting it at the end of the video saying you may need to reboot pc for connections to work, not too impressed at the moment with it.
I will be trying the Apex on my other tank and choosing the best one to have on my dream build.

Ha. No. It was actually just a shell. Found it on the sand bed while diving in Fiji. Left it in the ocean.

It gets a lot easier every time you set up a new function and use a feature. Just be patient and enjoy the process

Vinny and Ditto are INCREDIBLE source of info and help.

Yeah ive already programmed things with skimmer and return pump, leak detection and stuff, just having a bit of trouble with heater set up at the moment

Just about to set up email alerts and stuff so wish me luck. The next thing is to figure out what cables and things I need to shut off pump and skimmer if levels raise or fall, but i am actually enjoying it.

I wasn't sure whether to laugh or like your post so I went with the safe option. You don't even want to know some of the goofy/silly things I've done!
