completely messed up my profilux 4e wifi

OMG I have just set up my Hotmail again and nothing so used port 587 and still nothing, rebooted laptop, still nothing, rebooted p4 and got an email from my p4, didn't smile too much until I was sure so I did the test email 5 times and got 5 emails and also can connect again wirelessly through my gcc on laptop.
As happy as I am I cant help but feel that such an expensive piece of equipment that needs to reboot itself or the fact that there is no literature telling you to do this is sadly lacking in competency so yeah while I am happy and go explore what it can do this whole experience has put me off ghl completely.
Just a thank you to all the folks who have helped me and been patient with me.

Yeah, they do need to document that a reboot is required when making notification changes. I don't think it's in any of their documentation. I think I figured it out just by happenstance.

A reboot of the P4 is not required to send/receive the notifications.

Nothing worked on mine despite following instructions yet miraculously it worked after I rebooted p4 so it might not need a reboot in my case it did, so just a little something in the instructions saying something like 'a reboot may be necessary for settings to work' or words on those lines

In regard to your Profilux WiFi disconnects, do you have a lease setup on your router?

Probably not as I don't even know what one is, all I can say is that every other piece of equipment which is connected to my wifi has never disconnected.

By chance did you leave the GCC desktop software open last night and not disconnect from the P4.

I have had this happen once or twice where my forget time close the GCC desktop software, windows PC goes to sleep and next morning can not connect.

two solutions, one a quick reboot or connect with the GHl connect app and then disconnect and wala was able then to connect again with my PC.

What I'm saying is a reboot seams to be required when making changes to your notification settings. Every time I've made changes to my notification settings (e.g. initial setup, email password change) I've had to reboot the P4 to get the notifications working again.

Others have noted the same, including the OP.
