Coopers Red Sea Reefer 450

Plumbing basically done, just need to get some clamps and such.
UV sterilizer is mounted on the top. Waiting on skimmer. Will be creating a small fuge with 3 mangroves growing.
Went with NYOS 160 skimmer!

I'm following along. I just went wet with mine this week. You guys make it look like there is all kinds of room to plumb in there. Are you consulting an engineer that plumbed a submarine? lol

Looking good Dr. C!

Now starts the OCD planning of all the electronics! Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I was very confused/concerned at first when we plumbed the M1 with 2 outputs, but with the UV sterilizer and the power of this pump, I am hoping it was the right move!

Going for a clean minimalistic reef so used 100 lbs sand and 60ish lbs of rock!
Looks good. Wish I had used that sand. Mine was super dusty. I should have listened to Broadfield. That will probably be my new tag line."Should have listened to Broadfield "

The AI Hydra lights are very cool! Took a pic with them on. I realize my aquascape is super simple and minimal in appearance, but in person you have many dimensions. Smaller simple 3 pieces (likely add a few branch pieces) and then a larger piece leaving the middle open. The plan is to have tons of areas for the fish and inverts to hide and swim around. Both rock formations have a large center cave. I will try and get more close up photos today. Skimmer arrives today then it is time to start setting up all of the apex equipment!

I had the same idea for a minimalistic scape with my 350. Ended up using around 45 lbs of haitan plate and probably 7 or 8 lbs of fla dry rock. Im super happy with the way it turned out though. Yours looks great. It is hard to really show off the scapes unless you have an amazing camera

Thanks! Still waiting on the cycle to finish. One day I will get a solid camera.

Small update! Tank is fully cycled. Did a 35 gallon water change and had planned to use that water for my QT tank, but my buddy who did water change for me just now discarded that water!
Frustrated!
So now we are going to get a filter floss sponge from his LFS tank and use that to seed the QT tank

How long would you think this would take to be ready?
He wanted to put some live rock in the tank for 1 week then remove it, but I am nervous to ever put that in my QT tank.
Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated!
