Man, lots of these kinds of stories at the moment .......

I'm confused. Pulsing xenia released the polytoxin? I thought it came from palys?

I can’t help but think some of that article was exaggerated.

Four firefighters rushed to the hospital for breathing the fumes... are the fumes really that dangerous a day after they were released into the air?

Apparently it was treated as a major incident, with 10 people taken to hospital. Given the context of the recent chemical attack here in the UK, 70 miles from this incident, you can understand them going in heavy as it were.

If palytoxin is being released as a vapour and contained/concentrated in a house, then its perfectly possible to get an unpleasant dose. But it didn't come from pulsing xenia. :)

Exactly
What else can we expect it's Fox News [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15]

Maybe he had some polys hidden in the rocks. I have some in my tank that are nasty buggers and nothing kills them. NOTHING!!!!

This story is strange. Xenia released the toxin? Doubt it. He removed his rock and corals so he can clean the tank? That's some crazy extensive cleaning.

Unless I read it wrong it says he power washed his rock. I bet if it was palytoxin...which I am skeptical of ...it was because of the power washing.

It is a lie. Only way this could happen is boiling a whole bunch of nasty palys which would be insane to do indoors...

My brother posted this on my timeline, he was worried I'd kill myself cleaning the tank.

LOL. Just don't boil your rocks full of palys or squirt them in your eyes (I did that once). You should be fine. Steaming palys for dinner is not recommended either. Stick with broccoli.
