Did I make a mistake putting a couple domino damsels in the reef? Has anyone been able to keep docile fish in with them? The more familiar I get with the smaller reef fish the more interesting I am finding them.
Thank you!

I was always told to add damsels last. Also the darker they are the more aggressive. I could be wrong and that could be false, just what I've heard.

Probably one of the most aggressive damsels out there. That has been my experience with them anyway. I have had them even attack my hand.

Some damsels - even dominoes - are more "damsel" than others. Dominoes are usually pretty aggressive, but in a larger system they can sometimes get along. I once observed (over a period of several years) a spawning pair of dominoes in a roughly 500 gallon system, who got along with dottybacks, hawkfish, chromis and other assorted reef fish.

I wouldn't count on that level of cooperation from dominoes, though . . .

Yea I'm going to try and catch/trap them before I add anything else.
Thanks guys!
Dare I say it "TO THE TOILET BOWL WITH THEM BOTH!" ;Blackeye

If I have to spend $60 on a trap, a trip across town ain't happening! They are dead just don't know it!

The only damsels I'd ever consider putting in a community tank are paired clown fish. All other damsels are for a tank with similar aggressive fish. Not a community fish!

Don't get me wrong I'm all choked up about it too I still haven't gotten over the time I had to scrap the manjao off my rock with a screw driver! :)

Just not choked up enough to drive across town to take them to the LFS rather than flush them.

2 liter bottle, cut the cap off just big enough for the fish to fit thru. Now cut it in 1/3 and 2/3 sections with the 1/3 where the cap used to be. Turn the cap part inside the buttom part and hot glue it together. Place damsel's favorite food in the bottle and you have a fish trap for a dollar. You saved that $60 for gas to go to the LFS.
