From what I understand, one of the original purposes of the "fall back" thing was so that schoolkids weren't waiting at the bus stop in the dark, which presented a safety hazard. Of course, in modern times with inappropriate long bus routes that start at 6 a.m., the kids will be waiting at the bus stop anyway, regardless of the time change.

So yeah, just do away with it.

Well they are lucky to have a school bus. Paul B had to walk to school uphill both ways.

Without Daylight Savings time it would get light at 5:19am here in June. Without switching back to standard time it gets dark here at 4:22pm in December. I like it the way it is. I can change clocks a couple of times a year.

Cant the U.S., Russia and China collaborate together in retilting the Earth so the Equator runs straight through St Louis Missouri????

Hate it now. Back when I was younger I used to love when it got dark early. Then I would go out partying earlier. The fall time change was a drinking holiday. It meant we got an extra hour of drinking in.

Grew up in Indiana - we never changed clocks until about 10 years ago right after I moved back. I didn't mind DST when I lived on east coast, but when you live on the far western side of the time zone the day break and darkness are not at all aligned with reasonable clock times. Growing up we adjusted as the seasons changed gradually and was never really an extreme gap between clock and light perception. Seems very jarring to me now living on the far edge of the eastern time zone.

This can't be good for your mental health and stress right?

I like daylight savings time, I just don’t like local standard time ..... keep the clocks set at the former all year! Was originally conceived to save energy - hard to see how that’s still true. Apex updated automatically, but reeflink and the Kessil controllers did not.

As a night shifter, it really wonks up my schedule. Yeah, if I work an extra hour I get paid for it, but it sucks seeing 0200 hit twice (or alternatively, getting shorted an hour in the spring). But on the plus side, I think this is the first time in 3 DLST cycles that my Apex has updated its time automatically...

i was expecting to have to do some programming this AM but viola! it worked!

Yes, I was pleased! Now I'm fighting with my Radions! I don't have them linked to Apex, and they're old enough that they don't automatically change. But since Ecosmart Live is stupid, I can't get them adjusted. Harrumph.

Been running around the house changing clocks that don't change automatically. The microwave and coffee maker may end up in the back yard.
I HATE DAY LIGHT SAVINGS TIME!!!
Arizona and Hawaii reefers enjoy the night off.
I hate it cause it means it’s getting really cold soon. I literally have a huge party every year when we spring forward. Hurry up spring it’s only Nov 3rd and I am sick of cold already!!!

Oh and my AI lights switched times flawlessly but my nero’s did not?? Weird since it’s the same app, but my neros don’t change based on time so no worries
