Calling all Deltec 600i skimmer users to give their thoughts on the skimmer so far.

I'm torn between this and the Nyos 120 for a new build I'm in the design phase of.

I am running this skimmer on a 50g rock vat. I have run numerous skimmers over the years and have been so impressed by this one that I just ordered the 1500 for my display tank. It took about 5 minutes to get dialed in and I haven't touched it since. The picture below is the skimmate it pulled in the first 24 hours, it only got better from there. I give the neck cleaner a twist every day or every other day and empty/clean the cup every 10 days or so, which usually has about 2" of dark skimmate in it.

Nice I got the 600ix coming for my reefer 170 which I plan to upgrade to a 250 in a year or two. Just trying to see this skimmer working on smaller tanks

Been considering one of these for a while now. Probably wait for a sale of some kind, but they look great and Deltec always makes good stuff.

I got word from Adam last week that a U.S. distribution change occurred on deltecs end. I've been waiting for the little 400 for 3 months. That is nearly sorted out and his order will be shipping to the U.S. soon.
The i is a dc with variable speed
ix is just ac plug it in

I have a Nyos and I would have gone with Deltec had I known Battlecorals sold them. The built in manual neck cleaner is awesome, I think auto ones are overkill. Also the construction is truly impressive. Deltec has also been around for a good while. The built in overflow protection is nice. As far as performance goes which is what matters most I will say my Nyos is quiet and pulls very dark and smelly skimmate, which I have never gotten with a Reef Octopus.

There is a new USA distributer of deltec. Look on Facebook for deltec and it should pop up.they are in ft Lauderdale Florida. I got my 400i from them. They are great to work with.

Found them, they are the USA branch handler for Deltec but Marine Depot and Battlecorals will be their primary retailer. Adam at BC has the most experience with them first hand so I’d advise talking to him.

On another note some things have come up and I will be selling my three week old Nyos 220 with avast Swabbie kit if anyone is interested.

I have a 600i from BattleCorals, it's been trouble free. It is almost silent, works great, and is very consistent.
