Ok great we are doing good. Now, add exact same amount of Ca plus you added last time and take a reading. Don't do anything else. Also what is your magnesium reading right now?

I added 50ml of Ca plus last night. I checked alk and ca tonight
Alk is 8.9
Ca dropped to 380
Mag is above what my test kit can read wich is 1500

May be once tomorrow morning and then tomorrow night usual time...I wish to know how much is consumed overnight or 12 hours and then 24 hours. You will reach there soon.

My strategy currently with you is to reach Ca level a little higher like 450 or 460 ppm with Alk 8.7 atleast. Then dial back your component doses a little bit so you reach a nice balanced Alk 8.5 and Ca 440 ppm.

Thanks i was planning to ask what the plan was. So you think 8.5 is ok or does it need to be closer to nsw?

NSW is good but with low nutrient you live on the edge. So, a little over 8 is good but we will get there slowly. First the balance need to be establish then we can always fine tune the system as per need.

Well, I have some interesting numbers tonight. Good news I think is Ca is up to 430. Alk is up to 9.52 dkh.

Great, now just dose 30 ml Ca Plus today......now this is a good time to know your Mg level. Where is you Mg right now? I think from tomorrow we will start our waiting game. How much of components are you dosing right now?

I will check my mag in few min. I think it is over 1500ppm which is as high as my mg test kit will read. I am currently dosing 170 ml of each solution.

Ok dose the calcium as I told you and cut back the dosing to 150 ml. Let me know the Mg.

Mg is 1455 ppm. I am dosing the Ca plus and making the changes to the doser now.

Actually I was guessing that your Mg came down because thats when your Alk goes up. No problem. by any chance do you have Mg plus or any pure Mg supplements?
