I dont understand why it isnt moving. It makes no sense I am not dosing anything except what we are adding. I have a reactor with af carbon and phosphate -.
Another reactor with af life biofil. Nothing else and i havent changed them since we started working on this.

Whats ur NO3 and PO4 readings?

I havent checked those in a while. Nitrate was 5ppm last weekend. I just got reagents for phosphate checker last week end i can check it in about an hour. My tank is very lightly stocked.
1 med yellow tang
1 med bristle tooth tang
1 pyramid angle
1 lyretail anthias
1 royal gamma
1 neon golby
150 gallon tank

Nitrates are 2.
Phosphate is .00 on hana checker. Phosphate was .14 march 5

Good evening @Anirban. Here are my numbers for tonight. I will let you tell me if they make sense. I used the last of my hana checker fluid this morning. I order more from bulk reef supply a week ago but it has not arrived. I thought np i have salifriet alk kit as back up. It is not expired. But wow. I checked it 4 times and had my son check it a 5th time.
Alk 8.8
Ca 425
Mg 1395
What do you think? I am very doubtful that alk went from 7.67 this morning to 8.8 tonight but mg seems to be finally falling.

The salifert means the one with colour change right. It generally stays almost 1 dkh ahead of the Hanna so you are good. I am not worried about the Alk now, just dose 75 ml Alk tonight and 100 ml of Ca with one hour interval. Tomorrow morning test and if its again in the same range or less then dose 75 ml Alk again.

Alk was 9.28 with salfriet that would make 8.28 on hana so i dosed the 7mls
Ca 425
Mg 1440 seems to be higher in the mornings.
