Dirty tank!!

I feed once a day. I should start feeding twice a day? I'm going to get something other then mysis. Recommend anything?
I feed a combo of stuff and not every day. Its also about amount. Reef caviar, marine fusion, nutrimar ova rotifers. Its a balance for the animals I have.
Its also about amounts. More food= more rotting food=breaking down into No3 and Po4. Thus folks who feed too much have high No3 and Po4.
Some folks who don't want to "overfeed", dose No3 and Po4 in liquid form.

I want to find a happy medium. 1 block of frozen mysis usually last me anywhere from 5-7 days. Feeding once a day.

How do you season it? And do you mean leaning against the side of the inside of the cove rocks? Or..
Season meaning rinse it, put in a bucket with salt water and add some Bacteria supplement and some Phosphate remover for few weeks to a month, Helps get some nasties out of it and not in the display tank. As for the bottle I think it would look good in front buried in the substrate leaning the top back towards the rocks with the neck settling in between the 2 off to the left of the peak. But just my idea play with it. As for the rock pc. off the back of the pile going upwards the surface left corner. I think it would look good covered in Zoa's or Star Polyps and if you can find one a nice large wide Sea Fan behind the rocks dead center.

I can't believe how expensive corals are. I'd love a sea fan. Hard for me to throw 30-40$ on a coral though.

Looking at the pics, I can honestly say it's not bad. Yes... You have some growth in the right side but it's no big deal. If you have like serious hair algae brand-name understand your concern. Just keep up on regular maintenance and things will slowly settle down. Good luck

From ready to give up to plans for a bigger tank in just 2weeks!! Awesome! My tank is 8-9 months old now. Starting to look good now. (I crashed it once 2 months ago. Overheated it). It just takes time nd patience. This is place to come for help. Jus keep at it and it'll pay off!

My fish are all the fat kida at school and prefed flake to all others. So they get a night out at mcdonalds twice a week otherwise have to eat mysis and pellets

What else could I add for cuc other then hermets and snails? I want something different!

Any time I feed frozen shrimp whatever I thaw it in a cup of tank water. I have a big syringe And pull all the food up in it when it settles to the bottom. Then take a brine shrimp net hold it over the cup and strain it. This way your only adding food and not nasty water. In a small bio cube wouldn't take long to affect chemistry. Nitrates keep building if your adding water with food in tank. Buy a good quality test kit it could be faulty. Substrate could be another problem but I won't talk about that now. How is your tds in you ro,di water? Imperative to have near zero.

I use rodi water from the lfs. Don't have a test kit to test for tds.
