Do all clownfish become jerks?

I now do my water changes in the sump. I only ever put my hand in the tank if it’s a necessity. I also do this due to the tilefish and wrasses being heavy jumpers but if I go too close to the clowns ricordeas (That she’s only just tried hosting recently even though she’s been in and out of it for two years now) I wind up grabbing a bucket. I got bitten a while ago and due to there being a foxface in the tank my mind didn’t focus and I dropped the rock (Everyone was safe) it was the first time I had ever been bitten by her. I owned my other clowns for 5 years or longer and they never bit but they also never hosted a coral I was always near.

I currently have a few different types od clownfish in different tanks- a pair of maroon, a cinamon clown, and a pair of mocha storm ocillaris. All five of them are jerks not to other fish but to me!
The maroon clown, despite of its reputation actually are the tamest. They dont attack unless I am literally touching their anemone.
The cinamon clown would literally jump out of the water to bite me if he can, even if I am feeding.
The mocha storm pair are hosting a goniopora colony and have become increasingly aggressive recently. Funny thing is they allow the yellow tang to literally sit on the goniopora but wont let my hand get within two feet radius!
Are your clowns jerks to you too?
Maroons and Clarkiis are by far the worst.

I imagine some are nice. Just like i am sure some women you date/marry cant remember every bad thing you ever do for the rest of their lives.....but in both cases i never met one personally.

Update, it’s a battle now, before I stick my hands in to feed masstick, I’d wave at the clown to shoo him off first, he’d actually back off for a good 5 second just enough time for me to slap the food onto the glass then retreat

Lol! My boss has had to evict 2 maroons in a row from his tank. He wanted to make it work so bad but they were such bullies. So he's settled with a regular ole Nemo, haha.

Haha ya i still never found a nice one of any type. I have 12 clowns at the moment. None of them are nice(no more than 2 per tank)

The only nice one I've ever seen is boss's singleton - it leaves the other fish alone. BUT if he tried to add another it'd probably turn into a jerk, haha. I just got a pair of clowns last week (not maroons), and so far they're nice to ME (I bring the food), but they do chase eachother around and try to flex all the time, lol. My son named them Flippy and Chomper - fitting, since Chomper took a small bite out of Flippy's tail fin the 2nd day I had them. They are pretty close in size so they're working out who's boss. Assuming I didn't get 2 females though since it sounds like if I did, I'd only have one by now, lol.

I have two pairs of clowns, reg occ and platinum snowflakes, if different tanks of course. Luckily neither pair has bitten me as of yet and both are a little over a year old. They are brave little suckers though! I can reach out and touch the reg occ on occasion because they aren’t scared of my hand.

Mine are around the same age as yours - I read some people comment that theirs were chill until they were a few years older and then turned into little pirahnas, lol. Mine know my hand puts food in the tank - so far, so good!
