My wife named them for me. My first two fish bought Valentine’s Day 2017 are Romeo (yellow tail damsel) and Cupid (neon velvet damsel). The next two in March 2017 Leo and Cleo (ocellaris clowns) then Stripe (B. Cardinal) and Mabel (royal gamma). All except Stripe are thriving; Cupid is tank bully. Cupid started tearing up Stripe’s fins last summer so gave him to LFS in order to avoid cost of tomb stone. Tried adding another fish twice; both were murdered by Cubic before getting named!

Almost all of our fish have names. Just picked up a black tang, but haven't decided on a name for it yet. Any suggestions?

Hey all, poll is closing in a few days! Help me prove my bf wrong-that I’m not heartless for not naming fish lol

I've had similar issues to what others have said - as soon as I name most of my fish, they die, so lately I've been very deliberate about not doing so. That said, Leonard Nemo the clownfish, Sandy the diamond goby, and Jacques La Crevette, Esq. the cleaner shrimp are still around, and have been for awhile.

I really like all my marine critters but do not name them. Well... at least for the past 20 years or so I have not.

My wife likes to name some of my fish/inverts. But, yes she also said if I name it, it will die.
She named the snowflake eel Comey, the pair if yellow-bar maroon clowns Fred & Ethyl.
She named a big hermit crab, a general starfish. Don't recall names of latter two.

All my fish have names after TV show characters. Mostly Gilmore Girls. Luke and Loralai for the clowns, Kirk for my Foxface, Logan for the Melanurus, Paris for the Green Chromis. We had a Rory, Dean, and Jess but they all kicked the bucket so we're restocking at the moment.

I had three Mexican turbos named the Three Amigos and an urchin named Dan.

I did name my duncan Judy after a lady I work with... She thinks it's quite funny and even asks how it's doing!

You guys are killing me!
I’m going to lose lol every time I share the poll results he gets all puffed out and excited that he was right for once

I name them, mostly so if I talk fish talk to the wife she'll somewhat know what I'm actually talking about ha

Guilty.

I name my fish-- so far the best name was Mr. McPuffles, my Porcupine Puffer.

Naming a fish is like wishing death upon it. I’m not even superstitious, it’s just fact ;)

Not an official name, but blenny has been packing on the pounds and has been nicknamed “Chunky Tuna.”
