Dosing pumps

Am I missing something here? I am dosing 2-part with the BRS 1.1ml using Apex Fusion. They're silent and they work. What more could these others do for me that these can't?

This was added yesterday to the GHL through a firmware update.

I am happy to announce the new firmware 1.09 BETA and the new GHL Control Center 1.0.7.0!
It took longer than we planned, but we wanted to achieve the best features possible.

The GHL Doser 2 has now full level control:
- automatic water change (AWC)
- auto top off (ATO) in 3 modes: 1 sensor, 2 sensors (as backup), min - max control
- mixed mode AWC + ATO

ATO and AWC timer controlled

supports up to 4 level sensors and 3 independent level control circuits

I've been using the pacific sun kore 5th doser as my doser/auto top off and couldn't be happier. The only issue I've had is with the temp probe that I've never been able to get working. Idk if this is because of the software or the probe it self. Has anyone else had this issue? Besides that I would recommend it to anyone

Those or drews dosers along with a controller are great! No doubt about it. BUT, not everyone uses a controller and at that point you're trusting your tanks wellbeing to a 10 dollar hardware store timer.

The other units people, including myself, are suggesting are standalone units that don't require anything else to run, or program them.

Plus, I REALLY like the fact that the lm3 doses tiny amounts over 150x a day. If your total amount of additives are correct for the tanks usage, my alk is 7.8 all day long with no dips or peaks. I think the GHL also does this as well. Now, is that necessary for success with corals? I don't think so, but I have a feeling that the sps tanks appreciate this kind of steadiness and reliability.

The guys comment about the litermeter going on 7 years is another reason why I went that route. I have a couple buddy's that have been using theirs for longer than that even. That's money well spend ime. Plus you have spectrapures service. I was having an issue with my dosing setup. I had a brand new lm3 control unit, and a slave pump that I purchased on RC classifieds that was at least a couple years old. My situation was resolved, but the guy that I was dealing with at spectrapure offered to service BOTH pumps free of charge had my problem not been resolved on my end. To me, that is above and beyond performance in customer service. After that exchange they gained a customer for life.

Both Kore and GHL are stand alone units.

What happened to the Pac Sun US store? Did they go out of biz?

Litermeters. Have had no probes with them. Plus you can usually find them used at a good price
