Dusty's 14 gallon Biocube

No one is happy today in my little reef. 'Cept my GSP but that's pretty much only not happy when I touch it.

Frogspawn, xenia and my acans aren't feeling it either.

Nothing really new. Still hitting the tank with ich attack. I did pick up a little gold mushroom and 3 little zoa polyps.

I'm probably gonna take a better picture once my lights turn on

Green tips with orange centers. Cool little guys. Much more colour than my other Zoas.

How is the ich attack working? How long have you been adding it to your tank? I read that you have to turn off your skimmer and remove the carbon filter if you use carbon, how is it effecting your critters?

@IdahoNano I've been using it for about 2 or 3 weeks now. Actually I think I posted in here when I started. It says you might have to use it for up to 5 weeks. I don't run a skimmer anyway but yes I had to take out my chemipure. My tank is very unhappy lol. It seems like everything has been affected one way or another, cept my GSP. That stuff doesn't care lol.

@powers2001 I got it out of my buddies fuge for his 180gal so it already had all the coraline. I'd like it to keep growing and it has been for the most part. No dosing of anything.

I have a problem... hah

Pretty sure I'm just gonna set this one up as a pico fowlr tank for my daughter. Who knows though lol

So while I literally lost my golden mushroom, this one split on me!

Xenia is doing better as well. My RBT on the other hand... it's more like a light pink anemone.

Wellllllll looks like I'll be building 2 ATOs pretty soon. I've been doing some research, and while buying them would be the easiest, building will be the most cost effective.

Still trying to clear up that dang Ich. Hopefully I'm getting close. I started treating twice a day now.

I'm planning on putting a 14g coralife cube on my basement bar. Any ideas on setup, fish, coral, etc. appreciated. I already have a 75g reef, so want to keep the 14g as low maintenance as possible. Really don't want to make any modifications to the cube, maybe just add the protein skimmer. Thanks!

So the way I have mine set up its been pretty low maintenance, besides the ich that I've been battling for too long now. I took the stoclass filter pad and gutted it and just use that blue and white cut to size filter pad and replace that twice a month and took all the bio balls out and put a bag of chemipure in its place. My heater is in my first chamber just in front of the filter floss. I have about 15 lbs of rock and 12ish lbs of sand. I didn't weight it but bought 15lbs and didn't use it all. Stock lighting plus one strip of Trulumins blue led.
