Just saw one pop up on PIA's website and couldnt' resist! Can't wait for him to arrive. In the meantime, here's the last one I picked up from NYA a while back. He was a beauty but sadly didn't make it past a week.

Got the 8 line from LADD today....by FAR not close to the 3 inch fish that I was promised. As a matter of fact, its probably 2/3 of the size of my current female. Even what the heck requesting a larger fish in the order comments I still got a tiny fish. Grrr....

I also got my male Hooded which looks awesome. Can't wait to see him in the DT.

Blah about the 8 line but awesome for the Hooded. :)

Great....haha

I thought she was 2/3 the size of my other one....but after putting in the tank the other female looks like a monster compared to her, haha. Easily half the size of my other.

Quick question for wrasse experts. Since most QT, how do you guys handle QT with wrasses that bury? Do you guys keep sand in your QT tanks. Mine has always been bare bottom but it's just a matter of time before I need to QT one that buries. I keep some rock in there for hiding places but I know that without sand, some of the wrasses may stress out a bit. Kind of the opposite of what I am trying to accomplish...lol.

Thanks guys!

Craig I tried some in a Rubbermaid container but the wrasse wouldn't go near it. So I dumped it in the corner and she dove right in. Just be sure to Rake it back into a pile once in a while.

Wanted to update the thread with a few pics. After seeing the fish through my 200mm lens zoomed all the way out it looks as if she might have ich, but I'm not sure. What do you think? Here are some of the two, the bigger one coming from NYA and the smaller from LA. I think the larger is turning male, what do you think?

Bryan, I'd have to assume all of them came from the same system at NYA and they probably all had ich before that. I'd treat them like they do either way if it was me. Mine still has spots today but is acting perfectly fine. Being the first time with hypo I'm not really sure how long it should take to work. I was just told 3 weeks after all signs of ich are gone.

Good point Brett. I've already starting taking out scoops of water to let it be replaced by RO via top off. I'll try hypo and see what happens now that my topoff is working perfectly now on my QT.

Good thing my new fish I bought tonight were from divers den so they can go straight into the DT, haha.

Mine was a goner as of yesterday. Good thing she was on QT.

Marvin, was this one from NYA or LA? I thought you got them from LA

Keep in mind LA and NYA probably got these guys from the same place.

LA and she came from WI, meaning DD. :(

Man, that stinks. On the plus you should still be in the 2 week period but it does offset the fact that these guys were mishandled from the start. I starting pulling water out of my tank last night to start dropping the salinity for hypo.

Good luck with your hypo man.

Well, our order from National Fish Pharmacy was inadvertently shipped UPS ground, so they are shipping a new package overnight tonight. I'm glad I called to check since it should have been here already. Our little guy is eating and swimming around, but today his little head and face have re-erupted with cysts. I managed to snap a pic of him today with the macro lens (he hates the flash, so hid in the corner) . You can clearly see the damaged area where his ventral fin used to be. Depending on how he's doing this evening, we may give him another bath. Can't wait for the medication to get here, sigh...

This pic was taken last night w/our 18-200mm lens:
