Emilie's "pink tank".

My daughter wants one too, but she hardly has the time for her hampster so it would end up being another tank for me to maintain. I think she was looking into seahorses though... Maybe I can find a good hex.

How old is your daughter??? I have a four year old lil girl and she's always asking me to put a tank in her room maybe in the next year you all will see a build on her tank

Ha, I figure even if I have to take care of this tank it's just a good excuse for me to have another tank!

Emilie will be 10 in a few months, I told her that this tank is her early birthday present.

Ha ha yep!

Liking this tank!

Thanks!

Looking forward to this build! I think this is what it is about thinking out side the box ( or the standard cube)! Great job so far!

This is awesome Chris! Definitely a good way to have some father daughter bonding. Plus the Pink backround could actually be pretty cool.

A little cloudy, I just scraped the glass and moved some sand around...

last night we sat at the computer and looked at different fish and corals. Sounds like this tank will have a bta zoas and shrooms.

I just finished puttying the rocks together, I used the Epo Putty from Home Page and I think it works great. I have heard great reviews on this stuff so I decided to give it a go!

This is what I came up with:

I like the rock scape, nice job. I am sure your daughter is getting excited about being able to start adding livestock to the tank in two weeks.

I have 2 fish in a sort of a QT, they are a suprize though so I'll post what they are later. Kind of an experiment, if it works I'll tell you if not then I'll tell you LOL.

Chris, your rock work turned out great! Can't wait to see/hear which fish you chose.

Thanks, well Em wants a Mandarin so I'll have to get some pods going in there. Probably gonna have some Clowns of some sort. From there I'm not sure.

I think the rock work looks good. Some dark colored corals should realy pop on that pink back ground. What kind of filtration will it have?

She has good taste with the mandarian ;)

Sorry to hear about the divorce, I would not want to imagine being away from my kids even for a moment. Its great you were able to find something to strengthen the father daughter relationship. I hope you have much success with both.

God bless

Thanks! Only live rock and water changes for filtration.
