I have seen alot of discussion about these lately. It seems to me that either someone has figured out how to get them to grow faster, or they are finding more wild colonies of them.
I am curious what people think of these, are these true Envy Oranges?

wild... :)

this is good for the hobby.. I'm sure they'll be more popping up sooner or later... :)

can you post side by side pics of some RPE's you have..

what makes people want to call these new orange palys popping up "envey orange" and not "orange people eaters"?

if i recall, true envey oranges from the original lineage don't have any stripes or dark spots on the face of the polyp. however, orange people eaters do.

so it sounds more or less like people are just trying to ride the envey orange wave to make some more $$$.

Well im not riding the boat to me they look like them and the price I put on them is less then half or less then what ive seen them priced heres zoaid pic

they look the same to me and I think the linage thing causes higher pricing then the name game cause once sombody gets the first one they can price it whatever and once new ones come in there never considered equals do to this linage bug lol.
Anyways you know my rep you decide. And heres orange PE's

These are coming into L.A. Now too, a lot of people don't know what they are and are selling htem as RPE's, got a frag of 6 myself, and our shop has about 15 of them we are growing. From what i hear they are very fast growers

Took a visit to one of the local lfs today, gotta super SWEET deal on these. $20.. for a colony of about 70+ polyps.
owner said.. "I didnt even order these, they mixed up my order and I got them"

I'm not trying to ride any wave. My whole idea is that these are the real deal so DOWN comes the price and these are now officially attainable. :)

Yes, these are the real deal. Just like I stated from the beginning in all my threads. Everyone seems to think if its real or if there is a "TYGEE" name not attached then oohhh it cant be real. cmon people God dint just make one and lay it at Steves doorstep. It's a big ocean out there and there are plenty to go around. I do suggest you buy em up beacuse they are plentiful now because the diver has found a spot of them. They are coming from Kupang. After there gone it will be dry again. All of us are getting them from the same suppliers. There pleniful now and going fast. The days of the $600 paly are gone..........Good score!!!!

Also just to give you a diff between these and the OPE's the OPE's have the darker black circle around the mouth these are solid orange from mouth to skirt.......

The above pic does then indeed look like orange people eaters, not the Orange envy, lil different, but different enough to invoke a whole new name :) heres a pic of one polyp of what we have here:
