Stuff isn’t getting more expensive outside of the shipping cost issues. your currency is just worth less than it was a year ago. If you had a hundred dollars this time last year you would have aproximatley the same value as $93 dollars today. meanwhile the thing you want to buy still holds its value relative to the currency devaluation so the price “goes up”. This is why investing your money in ways that beats inflation from as early as possible is the only way you will get ahead in life.

Apex is one of those products that is over priced for what it does. A canister filter is just like a reactor. a device that turns a powerhead/pump on and off is a wavemaker. hmmm IMO's
 
BRS started eye gouging with the Ecotech prices!!! xr30 is now $950, and the xr15 is 500.... Inflation is 7.75%...... these guys raise the price by 25% on the xr15 the past 2 years .... they are nuts!!! I dont know if I can support this kind of crap!!!


the worse part about ecotech equipment, is that they don't say or print on their boxes where their parts are made!!! makes me question their credentials to the claims they make.

Absolutely agreed! The worse part is that they don’t stand behind their products. Had a Nero 5 for total use of for about 1.5 year, sent back and wanted for about $145 for the “repair”. The controller was on solid red and the propeller looks like new and spins freely.

For those that had their products run for years or having no problems, good for you. I am just pointing out my experience with them in case someone comes across this point when on the edge whether to purchase their products or not.

Problem with higher prices si trhat consumers get accustomed to them and they never come down. Why my haircut now costs $25 when a few years ago it was only $16. Get that less visits requires price increase but will they lower the price now that the pandemic is over and patronage should return to pre-pandemic rates? Probably not. Only way that happens is new competition or consumers stop paying exuberant prices.
 
Gas drives price up quickly and it has no sign of dropping. $5.00 a gallon coming to a town near you soon!

Yup, we need to stop paying those prices and that’s why you see the 10% “on sale” on their xr30s because not a lot of reefers are actually buying them I think. I found alternatives. Buy used or something cheaper. Red Sea energy went up so I got acropower. Nero point of sale broke, I switched to Jebao.

They will not readjust the price, and NO this BS Plandemic is not over, this a government overreach of rights and freedoms, these dummies want to cancel the hobby for crying out loud!!!!! It wont stop, until you decide to shave your head, no need for haircuts anymore, the future is shaved heads!!!!!

Inflation isn’t actually that low that’s the adjusted number. Makes it easier to hit targets when you strip out “problem” categories every so often in calculations. 25% increase considering shipping cost increases, gas price increases and inflation seems about par for the course with everything else honestly. I have seen 15-30% increases on stuff coming back into stock at local places near me. Obviously brick and mortar retail will be a bit more expensive than online stores but it’s going to hit everyone as they get their new rounds of products in, if they even can.
