Fallow should be 8 days (joking)

There's definitely nothing wrong with vinegar and drying, or bleach for that matter, but for what it's worth…

After the wipe down and cleaning, probably the quickest and maybe best sterilization would be a sequential spray of peroxide and vinegar.

I apologize but you will have to Google for the name of it. Supposedly that combo is one of the most potent surface disinfectant's out there, and as a bonus it degrades into harmless byproducts almost immediately. I think the reason it's not for sale in a bottle is because it cannot be bottled - it is created when the two sprays (one then the other) combine at the surface and works immediately. I'll find a link later if I can. [emoji106]

Yes it forms peracetic acid. It's a potent bactericide and fungicide. In essence it forms 2 very reactive oxygen radicals that have a longer effective life than hydrogen peroxide alone. Just be careful using this with out eye and hand protection as it can be quite irritating to the skin and especially eyes.

Still nothing beats a 1:10 dilution of household bleach it's much less caustic and still very effective.

1:10 bleach is my historical go-to for filter sponges, socks, etc...tough on plastics, at least some, but great results. It was worth the minor extra wear and tear.

The peracetic acid is interesting mostly just as a sidenote, but the fact that it is spray applied and requires no rinsing could be attractive in some scenarios. Particularly on glass I would think.

TTM is already laborious enough, so it might be welcome in that circumstance just for the simplicity.
