Quick update! Here is the tank under whites

everything has been looking great I’ve just had to move a couple of unhappy corals around here and there to see if they perk up. For the most part they have perked up but I wish some things were a little more inflated. Like my bowerbanki and one of the rainbow acans

first Goni is doing great! Took a few days to open up but it’s finally open

Also I’m going to remove this piece of rock here.

I really like it but half the time I feel like it’s in the way.

it can be easily removed so no sweat putting it back in it needed

I ended up moving this piece back behind the big tiki head. I’m think I’m much happier with it now

Also I was getting some tingling every now and then and I know my heater was older (came with the tank)

so I swapped it out for a new Heater tonight

After I pulled out the old heater I couldn’t see any cracks or damage but there was loose shards of glass on the inside rolling around. So either way it was a bad heater and glad that I got it changed out.

Couple new fishies!
The flame back and the copperband were planned but the cute little cleaner wrasse in the same tank at the LFS came up and was like take me too! So I did

Ha I thought this turbo snail kicked the bucket! Haven’t seen it in 3-4 weeks. But this morning when the light clicked on there it was!

Note to self and everyone else.

when you get a heater make sure it’s actually heating properly.

I set it to 77 and figured it was good and that my temp sensor would Alarm if it got to high and low.

well the alarm didn’t go off and I was sitting at 71

so I raised it up to 85 and go it up to 79.

backed it down this morning to get back to 77

always have to dial things in!

So I have a small Singapore angel he has been a model citizen.

but he must go!!!!!

I put two new milles in yesterday and the first thing he does is nip at them!

So this may explain the low polyp extension on my SPS.

A truly impressive build, and process! Well done, I'm jealous... and looking forward to documenting my whole process too.
Thank you! It has been a lot of fun getting back into and I’ve definitely made plenty of mistakes.

I wish I would have planned a few things out better to make it easier on myself.

and I’m constantly asking what am I missing or doing wrong!

Got some corals off the racks and glued onto rocks today! I’ll get those pictures later

it was a maintenance day and I got some cleaning in and did some testing.

then a 33ish% water change

patameters were

Nitrates: 25-30

KH: 10.9 - 11.5

Ca: 440-450

Glad to see my KH come down finally
