Looks like you did get a frag from the colony pictured, but with some crazy lights or photoshop editing. Going to be tough to get it to color up like that again.
But like you I did purchase a frag a while back that was super nice in the pics, but brown and crappy when I got it. It did color up a bit but never got to the same as the original.

I acquired a colony of the same thing from a vendor here. This is mine w/ no photo editing...
The guy with the colony in the original pic has done me right in the past but I have an idea of who took the colony pic for him and from what Ive seen, his pix are sweet looking but not very true to life...

WWC; with the strangely familiar comment, were you saying the original seller was trying to copy the color of your spitfire in his pic? not implying anything either.
not at all, I just post a picture of mine which happen to loom very similar to mine.
is the spitfire on that garden favia picture on the middle?

I have a question was it sold as a BPC flamethrower favia? The reason I ask is cause BPC stands for Blue Planet Corals and was a sponsor here and maybe u could find more pics from this favia at their website so u could compare, but IMHO the original pic doesn't look realistic, good luck.
