Purple stylophora.

Sure it's cool looking when it's a nice mature colony, but it's tough to cut, sucks up a ton of ALK and CAL, and shades everything thats near it.

I cannot cut it with bone cutters anymore. I do have a small wire saw for fine finish work that I use, but it's a huge PITA. I seriously wish I could find an underwater band saw, I would rid my tank of this thing!

curious if you had a mermaid that would encourage you to put that in your tank ?
He's a masochist and had a mated pair of Maroon Clowns.
 
Perhaps he was trying that new way of cycling a tank, where you use the ammonia in urea to cycle the tank?
Nothing new about that method. That's how we did it back in the day.
