Sure it's cool looking when it's a nice mature colony, but it's tough to cut, sucks up a ton of ALK and CAL, and shades everything thats near it.

I cannot cut it with bone cutters anymore. I do have a small wire saw for fine finish work that I use, but it's a huge PITA. I seriously wish I could find an underwater band saw, I would rid my tank of this thing!

Couldn't you use a dremel with an extended arm?

BRS has a rather LARGE pair of bone cutters I might buy and give a try.
