How many gallons are those containers?
 
The Horizontal tanks are both 35g. My plan was to mix Salt water in both containers about 65g circulating back and forth. but idk what do you think? The big container is 55g
 
Okay this might not typically be the norm but I will put it out there....

I have two 35 gallon containers plumbed together in a mixing station, the pump is on the timer, on during the day, off at night... I change 1% of water in my display tank every day (this is not typical part) so I keep my system as stable as I possibly can... I know of others that have an automated way of doing the same thing over the course of the day (24 hours).

This is what it looks like:

My RO/DI feed the top container, I open the valve to gravity feed the lower one, add my salt, and check the specific gravity.... it has a heater inside it to bring it up to temperature... doing it that way changes 30 gallons a month (not a week) and has in part helped me get rid of a serious algae problem.

Nice. I have some questions for you. I also need some help planning before i drill the holes.

1. What pipe size are you using? and pump?

2. My horizontal tanks need to be side by side about 3 feet apart. What would be the best way to plumb them to circulate the salt water?

3. Would it be possible to see your Display Tank?

My plan was to gravity feed my Vertical tank into the left Horizontal tank then mix salt water into both bottom horizontal tanks by circulating them back and forth. make sense?

3/4" and a mag drive 7 externally setup.

top down with a internal 45% elbow so the water spins like in a vortex.
wont really spin but hopefully you get the idea... lol

For my 2 horizontal tanks side by side there is a 1-1/2" opening on the bottom which i converted to a 3/4" and added a 90 elbow to the two jugs. Heres a little drawing for a visual. I put a question mark at the pipe towards the top of the container because I want to make sure it will circulate since the pipe is Horizontal and no gravity. I can use a 1" pipe with Uniseal for that pipe if that would help.

Question, why 3 containers?
 
More Water volume for saltwater for larger water changes.

I tried to utilize all the extra space i had for storing more water. The Vertical Tank will also be the RODI Reservoir/ATO

yeah, this sounds ok. don't forget to ball valve all the runs and add a drain to each container, even the RO/DI so you can get water out of it with have it flowing into one of the salt containers.
 
My only concern is the 1" pipe to transfer water from Jug "B" back to jug "A". since it cant be gravity fed being a horizontal straight pipe. before i drill the hole, just want to make sure. Also, will the pump out put need to be plumbed into "B" instead of "A"?

Looks like you're on the flat side with the 1" return, why not normal bulkheads?

both tanks drain into the bottom 3/4" PVC line connected to a tee and then inlet on the return pump, the outlet runs up to another tee that splits off to containers. I would make it all 3/4" PVC and 3/4" NPT bulkheads... if that's the size of the inlet on the return pump?

I think you have a winner...lol
