Do you have other fish in the tank ?If it was brooklynella how do I treat the tank?
NopeDo you have other fish in the tank ?
Would I be able to drain the tank, clean everything including filters, put new saltwater in and let it cycle? Or am I better off to just leave it empty and running? He was the only fish in the tank
The tank is now empty,he was the only thing in it.If you don’t have any corals or inverts then my guess is there is a dosage of ruby reef that could work..

The tank is now empty,he was the only thing in it.![]()

Ok good, let the tank remain empty for 10-14 days. Brook needs a fish to reproduce and live on to survive. The 10-14 day period assures any that dropped off will die off due to no hostNope
This was all answered in the second postThis does not look like any result of stray voltage . Was fish eating up to the time of death ?
Was it breathing normal or labored that you saw ?
Was it getting lethargic and refusing to eat and hiding?
swimming normal or darting occasionally ?
If it was brook you would have noticed abnormal behavior prior to death and a dusty film coating covering the fish. You stated you did not observe anything and the fish was eating fine.I will leave the tank empty. Should I do anything else like raise the temperature or anything like that? Incase it's something besides brooklynella
