Looking back over this thread it appears Marine Velvet Disease was diagnosed as the likely culprit. While 2 weeks in copper may be enough to eradicate velvet in QT, 4 weeks would be better.

Also, 6 weeks is the recommended fallow period (in the DT) for velvet. 76 days would be ideal just in case ich was present.
These water changes are getting to be a pia. Another 4 weeks is going to be a chore.

It's better than having velvet pop up again and having to set it all back up again right?

X2

There was a 2-3 week period where I did daily 90% water changes on a 55 gallon. Talk about a chore...

Just finished another water change before I sat down and read this. No....I agree 100%. It's far better than loosing some nice fish. They are doing great in the little 5 gallon tank.

But to answer my question....when I do reintroduce them back to the display tank, how should I acclimate them ?

So long as temp & SG match between both tanks, just net and release them into the DT.
