Fish Tank Room

Not a problem at all. Happy to help contribute advice to your concept. Dont feel obligated to follow any of it, just my contributions, not expectations.

Great build. Im only half way through your room setup. Im about to gut mine and redo my fish room. You have some great ideas on setup.

Is the spa flex tricky to bend? Never used it but think I may on my rebuild. It sits well in standard schedule 40 fittings? You can use the same glues?

Nope it was really easy to bend, I let it sit uncoiled on a long section of radiant baseboard heater and it was almost like clear vinyl tubing after that. I had one minor issue with the "schedule 40 fittings" but it was my mistake for not applying enough PVC glue, lucky I was able to pull it apart with the help of an extra pair of hands, no issue glueing it back up either... yes same PVC solvent and glue.

Stlcard ur awsome I might need you in my thread soon

Looks awesome! Great work. Must not have been too much trouble to get done so quickly.

It wasn't so bad, still have to work on all the sea-grass and macro-algae tank, but that easy... thank again for the right up!

not a problem. glad that it turned out well for you and was relatively easy. i like what you did with the right stack and the "cove" affect you created. As well as bringing the small rock to the foreground. Having a close up foreground object helps to create depth to a tank, which can be tricky given that alot of standard tanks are not very deep front to back.

anyway, bravo, keep posting your updates here. lots following along im sure.

Oh the pictures on my profile? Thats my old 33g I had years ago. Im in a 120 now. I used all pvc framed construction for that first scape in the 33. It was okay, but no perfect as you could see the frame from the sides and back pretty easily. Ill try and clean up my current tank and post those pictures. Arcylic rod works much better. [emoji1]

+1 I am totally agreed with this comment. It helps bring the deep of a tank.

Beautiful fish but the disposition is a little aggressive for what I have planed for this tank.

Just finished reading through all 19 pages of your build. Excellent work! You mention your OCD a few times. In my opinion you can never be too OCD when it comes to designing and building an environment on this scale. Neatness, labeling, making everything little thing accessible, it all leads to ultimate success. Even when we realize that something we did doesn't quite work the way we thought it would and needs to be changed. It is much easier to make that change when everything else is laid out properly. I have a 130g and currently use the Prodibio products and love them. Wise choice.

One question...You only made a couple references to a controller, as far as I can tell. Which controller are you using and have you installed it yet? How do you have everything set up for power and control? I would love to know more about that part.

Just finished the new quarantine tank... built an internal skimming box connected to the Fluval 305 and built an acrylic heater holder because I really don't like the suction cups that they come with.
