It's a mechanical way to moving your lights up or down, helps get them out of your way when you need more access to move things in or out of the tank but, it can also be a way of getting the intensity of source light closer to the tank and it's inhabitants. :nerd:

haha... I spent my teen yrs installing custom car stereo, and flip up TV screens... I'm an ole-fart but still know a few things...lol

Good point Obi Wan, especially since I've decided to go with MH lighting. this is just an example i saw that someone else used, good starting point though, but alas this is far off, the Pearl is still in dry dock at the Savvy yard
