Fish won't stop dying!

So with my set up now how could I do that? Sorry I am really new to reefing.

What size UV do you want to get? I'd say get at least a 20 watt. You can plumb it behind the tank standing vertically.

Well the rabbit fish is about 3 inches long 2 inches in height but it grew really quickly cause we got it when it was tiny but it seemed to stop growing. The other fish are the same Size but what exactly does the formalin treatment do?

I would try to get a 20long for the QT. Maybe when they go on sale at a local pet store at $1 per gallon. Rabbit is too big for 10g.

Formalin will kill any parasites that may be in the fishes system. Since you have had issues with dying fish, something is in their system even if they are healthy. I know others that would say, let them be and only treat the new fish. That will work also since these guys have been surviving. Remember if you use formalin, use air in tank and gloves and mask. It is not a chemical handled lightly.

However, you do want to get your DT fallow (no fish) for 76 days.

Biggest thing now, do not get any new fish until the DT is ready! Patience is hard, but necessary for a healthy system.

I am currently treating with copper and my inverts were taken out before I started. I do have a copper test that I use about every other day and my copper levels have been between .3 and .5.

It is going to fluctuate for awhile due to absorption from the rock/substrate. Eventually it should level out and 0.5 is what you want to shoot for. FYI; you will never be able to safely add corals/inverts to this tank ever again without going thru an extensive process to remove all the copper.

You're getting some great advice. Just wanted to add that the Petco $1/gallon sale is currently going on. So with that said, you could get a 20 long QT and a new 75 gallon DT for under $100. As others have said, at this point it would be easier to start over than to attempt removing copper that leaches in to substrate, decor, tank, equipment, etc.

Hang in there. We went through this when we first started. 78 days fallow in the DT and now we quarantine everything before adding.

I had that problem before. Parasites are in the water. You need to keep the tank fish free for 45 or so days to kill the parasites in the tank. Pain in the butt but the only real way to do it.
