I don't normally run carbon since it irks my SPS. Should it be ran to absorb any medication which may go into the water column?

Yes. If you're soaking antibiotics in their food, running carbon is a great insurance policy just in case a little makes its way into the water column.

My SPS didn't like carbon either until I switched over to BRS Rox.

Thanks again. I just so happened to come across some ROX to try for the first time.

The soaked food did not work but it seems as if it was actually more flukes causing the issues. I may have waited too long for the second round. I dosed a 3rd time and the emperor went from laying around to swimming again but the sores were getting bad.

I finally managed to catch it after 3 days and it is in a hospital tank with General Cure, Furan 2, and Kanaplex.

I believe I saw some dead flukes at the bottom of the hospital tank this morning. Looked like curled up flatworms.

Man, that looks bad. :( But at least you are treating with the correct combination of meds.

The fluffy stuff is almost all gone and the sores are healing up. It is eating like a pig again and snorting like one. I am going to continue the antibacterial medicine until the sores close completely.

That's great! I'd like to see some progress pictures :)

I see improvement there.... nice! I hope he continues to get better for you. Keep us updated.

Well done! Treat with Furan-2, Kanaplex and General Cure for 10 continuous days.

This is the Powder/White cheek tang hybrid Humblefish helped me save a few months ago. It was suffering from a bad bacteria infection so now my fish closet is always stocked with General Cure, Kanaplex, and Metrodinazole medications he recommended. Also all new fish get pre-treated with it while in QT instead of my old way of Cupramine and Prazipro.

He is so fast now I can't get a clear picture with the phone.

Just when everything was back to normal. He is getting the blotches again. I suspect it is the tangs beating up on him since they are larger now. None of the other fish have signs of parasites or issues. Now it comes down to rehoming some Tangs or the Angel.

I know, it's always something. :(
