Looked perfect and eating like a pig.How had the foxface been looking/acting/eating before the maintenance?
I questioned whether or not it truly got scared to death, but my yellow tang wasn't acting right either. Staying in one corner mid way up. I fed an extra cube to see how he'd react and it never even tried to get a piece. It's pretty rare but did he maybe spook himself into a heart attack? The seizures fit the bill. If I did water changes mine would hide and change to camo mode, super flighty fish

I haven't gone in the basement since it's dark now. I'm hoping the tang is still alive. I ran carbon all night just incase. If it is stress, the tang wasn't on the same level as the foxface. Fingers crossed.
We had a large adult emperor angel a few years ago and chased it to catch it for dip it had ick because we thought it might have flukes. It died immediately after we caught it. We scared it to death trying to catch it. Looked like it had a seizure and then just laid on its side and breathing heavy and died. We felt so awful. Have Redesigned our fish catching techniques now. So sorry you lost yours. Hope the tang is ok.Well my yellow tang seems to be in good health. I'm going to have to diagnose this as scared to death. Unbelievable.
I have socks in place and still have the carbon reactor up.Sound like something either from soaps or algae leached into tank.
Call it coincidence but to a degree-yes. I would if you haven't already do a water change, add carbon and if possible a filter sock to trap small micron sediment
