GHl doser blinking yellow and trouble with Software. HELP.

did you reset the fluid level for containers?

Well .. update.. i just set up the myghl.com acccount. unplugged the unit. plugged it in.. the static ip address is still good. I can access it through the myghl.com.

BUT same problem.. blinking yellow.
and still get error code when using the pc software over lan or wifi to try and set up and hit dose.

The color codes for these units are all in the beginning of the manual prior to the setup instructions. For those new to ghl, myself included it’s very important to fully read the manual as these have several options and not always intuitive. Once up and going though I love them, one ghl ultimate set and two kh directors so far.
 
CH. Please check to make sure your fluid level is not low. Reset the fluid level if needed. from the app you should see your fluid level in GREEN color
 
As mentioned before I stopped trying to setup the doser via wifi or lan.
I do it either via usb or myghl.

Anyone have these issues..

For a $500 doser people sure do post lots of complaints about setting it up. Though I guess it works great if it gets set up right. Good luck. I’m interested in buying the ghl doser but the set up scares me away!

I just got the GHL MAXI SA doser and I am trying to download the software myself on a Dell XPS with Windows 7 on it and I am having a little trouble.
 
For 400 plus... The wifi on the unit should work. I too have better luck with the GHL Connect on the phone .. I use also myghl.com but that seems to take time to load and reload.. When i try and tell it the container volume is lets say 5000 and not 2000 it does not let me save..?

I have the following off to Marco at GHL.. I will keep you posted to help with your same issue. Here is what i wrote to them.

Right now the unit is attached via LAN

Wifi is not stable. Unit does not see the Wifi Networks all the time.

Unit is flashing blue then Yellow.

When I use the pc software on my windows pc and I connect via wifi or LAN I get error codes 50 and Error codes 28 when I try to do anything with the pumps. Then when I go back into system drop down menu and look at the networks, again my Wifi does not appear. It is not my Wifi. As the laptops on the second floor much farther away along with my other devices see the Wifi. The router is a nighthawk netgear 8000. It has good range and is a good unit.

I will check my email for your email. But other are having the problem also so perhaps might do a long sticky on this forum to help everyone out. I am sure the guys and girls over at GHL have great intentions.. but we need some better materials and guides.. the videos i have seem are clear and good. perhaps they need one directly on the issue of the blinking yellow light ect.. as noted above..

You have to enable the option "to allow change" of your doser from myghl.

For 2cents, I encountered all the same type 50 codes along with a few issues you didn't mention. After much expaseration, I simply lowered my expectations.

I place the dosing holder in a container when calibrating in case it bricks. The newest iOS app works better than the previous (I've tried all 5 variants of their software) but whenever you change dosing amounts, double + triple check it saved correctly.

I only need to increase dosing amounts infrequently and it works reliably after being configured. It's not worth more energy to me.

Yep. Did that already. I did notice that I could not get the Green to show on fluid fill on the app to work. I would tell it “refilled”. Put in 5000. And sonthatvis whybits blinking yellow.
 
Try this and see if it works for you

Step 1 - Enter dosing description
Step 2 - Max capacity of your container
Step 3 - Minimum level amount
Step 4 - From the drop down selection make sure that you select "Container is emptied"
Step 5 - Click Fill container - Enter the amount and click ok to close it.
Step 6 - Click the save button
Step 7 - Refresh to see what ever you entered stay and see if your container level change to green

ok back in town and looking at this continuing issue.. i did get an email from GHL and will be communicating with them also.. So others do not go through what i have.. i did get some info but not sure on which thread... but thanks to those who have supplied info. others that have this issue. i gave up on the pc communication to the unit. Via the app... GHL app.. i emptied the containers, then refilled. That seemed to cure the flashing yellow light. (which is a warning that something is not correct .. i.e. units are dry)

Crazy thing is now have new issue.. the magnetic stirrer is not working on the app.. i can press the button to dose manually. however, i slide the button over to allow manually engage the stirrer, then hit the stirrer one and nothing.. yet last week it worked...
 
Sorry I cannot help you there. Do not have a "magnetic stirrer".
 
KZ thanks for your help... strange that you have to state the container is emptied.. maybe i am missing something but that does not make sense.. but it worked.. thank you .. no more flashing yellow..
I did give up on controlling it through the pc. now on to the new issue .. the stirrer.. perhaps a reboot and see what that does.. thanks again..
