Going threw an algae bloom

I think Sea Hairs eat hair algae fine but they poop it all out and if you not on top of the clean up stage it all grows back just in a different spot
The problem is that they rip through the algae and then run out of food. It isn't fair to bring this creature into the hobby unless there is a constant source of algae for them.

Did the same thing with my emerald crab and urchin on ny flat rock zoa garden both took off in 5 minutes was also at night with lights off
Emerald did nothing for mine. Can you post some close ups of your algae under white light?

Thursday? I would be blowing the hair algae rocks daily with a turkey baster to get any detritus out of there. They use it like soil. The longer the algae, the more they trap.
2 days looking better already fingers crossed water change also tomorrow night

Since it is just a nano, a large water change will fix the nutrients in the water. Pluck out what you can with the water change and add some trochus snails, emerald crabs, and a tuxedo. Should be an easy fix.

Only if you keep the animal once they finished eating the algae, not seen to date any shop refuse one back once they done with with, it’s good business you get rid of algae and the shop gets to sell the same animal several times. They are very reliable animals eating all sorts of algae that will do well in any Size tank (maybe not in a bowl)
