Good Morning!

I'm late today! Friday is errand day, making up for what I can't seem to accomplish Mon-Thurs.

My LED replacement has FINALLY arrived. Waiting for son to get back so we can take down the canopy and switch it out....and hope the corals don't go into complete shock. Otherwise, probably a W/C on the BioCube this weekend and making more "fish water."

I'm so glad September is almost here. Fall is my favorite time of year! Spring is second. I guess summer is third. Winter is LAST....unless I'm in the Caribbean. Have a great weekend!
bring on the fall. grocery shopping season.

Good Morning! up too late, or early, managed to learn how to arm disarm the bike security system. no siren, 7.5 hours from now i will be starting the bike it is loaded with a neoprene stuff bag behind the seat. everything would fit in the saddle bags but i would have no room for souvenirs.. lol. sleepy time here i come.

Good morning! Replacement LED has been installed and is working. No, I didn't hijack another light fixture! I'm so glad one of our sons was here to help with the install. I forgot how much fun it was to mount the thing in my canopy. I had to unscrew one of the braces to "uninstall" the other one, plus the power cords for my two powerheads were threaded through the canopy. It also gave me a chance to clean up two years of salt creep in the back that I normally can't reach. Needless to say, the canopy doesn't come off unless it has to...

The fun part is I get to drag a 6-foot long box to FedEx this morning and ship my half dead light back. Husband was kind enough to stuff it in the back of my car, but he promptly ran off to chase that little white ball around for 4 hours.

I've already had my walk. No wildlife this morning other than some squirrels, birds, and two cats. Enjoy your Saturday!

Good Morning Reefies

I'll be there. You.. provoked me! I didn't want to do this....

May all have a good and blessed morning. I hope all is well and the loved ones are safe and sound :)

Enjoy the coffee! I can't wait for next week. It's supposed to be cooler.. Mid 80's is much more welcome than the mid 90's.

Good morning
We decided to eat more fish
IMG_3923-L.jpg

After finding I have been extremely optimistic when reading my test kits I am going to Hanna checkers to keep myself honest.
I just ordered ones for alk and Ca and have nitrate and phosphate now.
Not that the fish care.

I find watching the bubbles in the sulfur reactor to be mesmerizing, especially in the middle of the night. It's like a lava lamp.

What a frightening walk I had this morning ;Nailbiting I got up in the middle of the night as I couldn't sleep. I can never sleep. So I went for a walk even though it was pitch black outside and the sun wouldn't rise for at least an hour.

I walked about half a mile and I heard this wild animal that I assumed was a bear. We normally don't have bears here on Long Island New York but there is a train that comes here.

The thing got closer and closer and now it was so close to me that even though it was to dark to see, I could smell penguins and peanut butter on his breath. I think it was Jiffy peanut butter.

All I had with me was my designer, aluminum walking stick with this sexy little strap on top and a rubber tip. I raised the stick hoping to scare the beast but the smell of the peanut butter just got stronger. Now I could hear it's stomach rumbling and I knew I was in trouble.

In the inky darkness it lunged for me and I could feel it's thick fur on my legs. (I also had sexy shorts on that my wife bought me last year)

I stabbed at him with my aluminum walking stick which just made it madder and faster.
My left hand was busy fighting the thing off with the stick while my right hand was trying to put the code in my cell phone so I could take a picture. I just changed the code last week and was having trouble with the last two digits. 7,8,,,,no,,6, 5,,,49?

I took a few pictures but they didn't come out in the dark melee.

I finally put the phone in my mouth so I could reach out with my right hand to try to poke him in the eye, but I missed and grabbed a hank of hair. I think it was his eyebrow. ;Blackeye

I yanked as hard as I could and my hand was full of fur. The creature screamed and seemed to rear up because I could feel him brush my head as I assumed he was falling. I then heard him crawling off into the forest, defeated and broken.

He never tussled with a bald, retired, electrician I guess and he never will again.

On my way back I had to walk through that same place. I expected to see a blood trail heading off into the trees but all I saw was this little squirrel with no tail.

The squirrel was eating a jar of peanut butter. Now don't think this squirrel had anything to do with my "bear" encounter because this squirrel was eating "Peter Pan" peanut butter and not "jiffy" which smells completely different.

If any of the pictures come out I could prove it.

Good morning
Paul is out getting him some tail while I am stuck cleaning a big dirty skimmer.
Paul, careful or they will come for your nuts.

I really got nothing this morning. Guess I will go make the coffee.

They are great....just make sure you put the right test tube in the right checker or you might end up with an alk of 20! Not that I've ever done such a thing....nope, never.

Good morning! I saw several of you at the POTO live sale yesterday. I'm usually hiding behind the scenes beating up my F5 key. It was my first one of theirs and I really liked the format. I was happy to get a few pieces on my wish list. I think this will finish up my tanks and I will no longer participate in live sales.:D;Hilarious

I'm heading out for my walk soon. Hopefully, I won't encounter any bears along the way...or tail-less squirrels...or peanut butter! Have a great Sunday. ;Joyful
